The Students of Color in Public Policy at the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley are proud to present the first symposium on Race and Policy, titled “Building Our Awareness: How We Engage Race in our Work.”

We are working to make the Race & Policy Symposium a space to examine and discuss how racism has been institutionalized through public policy and law, and ways to dismantle those institutionalized ways.

The audience is for both individuals who have been thinking about this for a long time, and others who are new to examining race in law and public policy. We also want to encourage and provide new ideas and perspectives to attendees on issues of race and racism, including work that they might think about for their future careers.
